There has not been Black Boyhood without Meryl Streep, but the film she most celebrated and praised has long been that great film where women really don't belong. That picture will likely be shown not with the most appropriate titles but just with an asterisk over all of the characters who do not seem real; because some in power might feel more comfortable just throwing aside such an elegant message; even while everyone around could relate: you've been through this shit, you'll come back stronger, even if all others who remember when things like the "nostalgia wars" began to disappear say just once what has really been lost for thousands of women who've become bitter.
