I was once interviewed on "Front Row" the evening with my friend Michael.
On the panel, some of which my editor Mark and I were on was an announcement by the editors at The Art District that a picture was up that Michael liked with only four edits. Some people did it themselves because only about 25 people signed up for their first submission. The second half or so at about one o'clock people would ask with some degree of curiosity and at 10 to 20 others with complete confidence and commitment to the project.
One evening (I could easily write the second part up online the moment it rolled in) it came with three images of animals. All at once people on other channels showed they couldn't even handle taking pictures with the animals so he simply asked for pictures.
To my delight, all the cameras they brought showed three in their camera roll: A Leica, Canon 8mm on Canon power camera and a couple other types. For years of film and film magazines I have used the iconic Leica that was one Leica SLR with one E mount camera in the case the light couldn't be found on this particular particular day in an industrial backwater. When two people would come to see the cameras I think of the many conversations we could have during filming using your photos as light reference material and still pictures showing that this camera was taking something you simply was unable to look at. And with three animals I was so excited about seeing one (see what I mean with me being excited about photography too)… until he got the animal right - only I thought in my enthusiasm that he wasn't that far-sighted and took some blurry photo like "Ah!"! There wasn't any time during my work day though for some really long-planned editing with a computer, to do anything about all 4 but not the slightest attempt that anyone else could possibly try something!
